Hi Roberto. welcome back with this technically rich sharpening technique. I hope the rest of the community enjoys it as much as I did. It is great to have you and everybody back. Ciao. Majed

Great tutorial Roberto and thank you.
I'll have to look into those steps, will they apply with Photoshop 7?
Nice to have you back Roberto and so soon with the tutorials, excellent work!
Regards from Paul.

Fabulous work
Hi Roberto, your albums are absolutely fantastic. I will have to come back for a closer look. Unfortunately I can't upload anything so I'm still waiting for my site to work. I do have my own website at www.teniasgallery.com and you can visit there. I wonder if you would mind if I put you in my favorite links there. Let me know. You can send me an email at tewoj@shaw.ca
Hugs, Tenia

I'm baaack
I'll be uploading photos for the next week since it doesn't seem to work very fast. I didn't take that many of the photos so just comment on the nice ones ok. I have "frozen shoulder" so I didn't do a lot of editing. Some are classic "vacation" shots but I wanted to share the trip with you anyway. Laurie

Roberto, yes, and I would love to go taking photos with you to New Zealand. LOL.
We only went to the South Island. Fjordland and Queenstown are a must see. Of course you will see Christchurch because that is where you will land if you fly from AUS. Some go to South Island to see Fox and St Joseph Glaciers and do winter sports there, but we saw glaciers in Alaska, so we skipped them in NZ. Regards, Majed

Sir Roberto, I took 60 GB of pictures during the 5 weeks of stay. Around 15 GB of them, or 1600 photos are worth keeping. I took 2 Wolverine hard drives with me for the transfer of photos from flash cards. If you go, you must have a similar arrangement, or else you will quickly run out of cards.
Regards, Majed

You must be lucky. It did not work for me to upload new photos into existing albums that have album names with spaces. The album name I mean is not the title of the album that appears on AT, it is the name of the album that you enter when you first create an album.
Today I see another puzzle. Yair uploaded photos to a new album. The name of the album is only one word, so it is compliant with [no spaces in album names]. But his phtos all have dashes in their names, and i am puzzled that this worked. Oh well.

In the professional section of Webshots I saw a thumbnail of a photo taken by you of Masai people. Very beautiful picture. My question is: How does one become a member of the professional photographers that Webshots syndicate photos from?

Roberto, thank you for the comments on Beautiful Australia. I wish you were there too. I could have learned a few tricks from you. I look up to you and to your talent, and I want you to know that your photography (and website!) are an inspiration to me. Regards. Majed

Follow-up to your inquiry!
Hi Roberto,
You questioned me on how I arrived to the finish effect on my photo of Decew Falls. I renamed the album to Photo Art in which the third and fourth postings explained how I reached the painterly finish. It is all my own doings through trial and error. So there could be room for improvement. Regards from Paul.

Gospodin Roberto. I hope we get to see a Diffuse Glow and a Tiled Photoshop photographs of your wife here on Albumterrace. Take care. Majed

Roberto, thanks for the comment on the Page Curl. I have been waiting for a Diffuse Glow Maria, and now I need to wait for a Maria on a Page that is Curled. May be you can combine two promises in one: A diffusely glowing Maria on an elegantly curled page. That would make it to the front page the next day it appears in your albums. Best Regards Majed

Roberto, I see your thread. It is the 5th one from the bottom of the list. Why don't new threads appear at the top of the list beats me. I hope you can see it too.

Last night I had a dream.
I saw you taking a breathtaking picture of Machu Pichu
Then you said to yourself that this is so beautiful, I cannot wait to get back home to upload this photo to Albumterrace. I must do it while I am in Peru.
Then you switched your camera settings to jpg, resolution to 3 MB and you took another photo.
Returning back to the Hotel, you found the communication center, went there for 15 min and boom, a new beautiful photo appeared in your Albumterrace albums.
Hope you are enjoying Peru

Hi Roberto, thanks for the comment on focus stacking. I think you are right, makes me feel good because I thought that there was something with me and/or my equipment, not with the tool.
I still think it is a time saver though. Since you did it before and after CS4, how long did it take to do it manually as opposed to running the Auto-Blend Photos routine in CS4?
Regards
Majed

Safari in South Africa, wow. I am happy for you. Just today I was talking to guys from my team at work, who want to go to South Africa next year for the World Soccer Cup. They said that they will go to a Safari afterwards. And now I read that you are going there soon. What a coincidence, and may be a hint for me.
We are taking it easy this year, a small trip to Colorado at the middle of September.
Regards, Majed

Roberto, Lisa, my wife, says she wants to go with you and Maria and she can carry the heavy lenses and other accessories for you. She likes cheetahs.

Welcome back. Sorry you had a terrible weather. I would be really pissed off, probably equally or more than you do. I look forward to seeing your photos with 400 f2.8. I am sure they are great. I like my 700, no disappointment. Something got on the sensor, or on one particular lens of mine. Same spots on the photos. I need to investigate where it is coming from, a particular lens or the CCD. No time to do anything now: Management position, daughter moving back with us, cannot make it on her own in this economy.
Hi to Maria. Again welcome back. Majed

Hi Roberto. I saw your new thread in the forums under CS4 1 Year Later.
You have to be logged in, then scroll down and click on page 2. for some reason these blog entries do not line up per date. Since notifications about new forum entries do not exist, I will have to put a note on the front page probably tomorrow. I will also include a link to the forum entry. Regards

Hi Roberto, I made an entry in the forum.
Thanks for complimenting Natasha. Yes, the good news is that she is pretty. The bad news is: She knows it :)
